Our Story

Maui Cookie Lab was founded by Heidi Cramer in 2018 with a simple idea: go back to a time when food was real, handcrafted, and made with quality ingredients. Classic flavors, great ingredients, and just the right dash of creativity.

The idea for Maui Cookie Lab first came to life through catering events around Maui, including many supporting local nonprofits. It was a chance to test the concept and find out whether the community wanted more of these well-loved, classic cookies.

The answer was a very enthusiastic YES!

And with that, Maui Cookie Lab was born with a mission to “Spread the Aloha and Share Cookies!”

Heidi brought more than 20 years of professional baking experience to Maui Cookie Lab, beginning her career in Pāʻia and going on to create several baking ventures on Maui, including the Cake Walk Bakery.

A New Chapter

In 2026, Maui Cookie Lab began its next chapter under new local ownership.

While the hands behind the brand may have changed, what makes Maui Cookie Lab special hasn’t. We’re continuing the commitment to quality ingredients, handcrafted recipes, and cookies made with care.

Before the transition, Heidi had already begun developing Maui Cookie Lab’s ready-to-bake cookie dough, bringing the same recipes and quality ingredients people loved into a convenient frozen format. Today, we’re building on that idea and making ready-to-bake cookie dough the heart of Maui Cookie Lab.

Our goal is simple: make it easy for hotels, restaurants, cafés, retailers, and families to enjoy the smell and taste of freshly baked cookies without having to start from scratch.

We’ll continue creating some of the classic favorites and new flavors inspired by Maui, all made locally and ready for you to bake, share, and enjoy.
